My renault cat pipe was cracked when I bought the car, so I replaced it was the cheaper sports cat option.
about a month in, it made the MIL Light come on. MOT was not long and I know the tester well so I didn't rush to get that checked as there was nothing obvious wrong with the car.
I failed my MOT on emissions on the first go - then he said he put some cleaning fluid through the fuel system that would clean the injectors and the cat pipe (?) and he also reset the MIL Light.
that got my emissions down to the correct levels to pass MOT (Great!)
now a month on the MIL light is back... I assume this is the same problem, any ideas how I could stop this problem keep coming back?
I don't know what fault the MIL light was coming up with - I could maybe ask later tonight but any ideas so far?
