Did you have any luck with Sony?
I remember reading some reviews a couple of years back and they were respectable cameras. Quite pricy back then too I think, but then everything was. I paid 600 quid for my old sony compact!

Havnt got round to speaking to sony yet, called yesterday but their office was shut.
Last night i tried plugging the usb lead into the pc and when i unplugged it the camera was working again, as far as i can tell, because i cant take pics on it yet, dont have a CF card.
