Misfire help

Potentially going to look at 172 this week- i havnt viewed it yet.

Ive been told the car has a misfire under hard acceleration, it idles fine and the engine light isnt on. Its had an injector change and thats not cured the problem, a garage has looked and said they cant find anything wrong?!

Any ideas? could this be VVT issue, or lambda sensor?

HT Leads, coil pack, lambda sensor. It it was vvt related it would be the dephaser unit IIRC. But even then, i think dephasers only get noiser and don't affect acceleration - someone will confirm.

Usually a generic fault on petrols and usually ignition related, coil leads or plugs id say.
