Hi,
My 182 Cup has developed an intermitant misfire. Basically it normally occurs within a mile or so of setting off. The symptoms are cruising along gently on a light throttle, press throttle and nothing happens apart from the engine starts stuttering. It usually recovers and continues the rest of the journey normally, but on one occasion conked out when I had to pull up at a roundabout. It restarted at the second attempt, but the tickover was very erratic for a short while and I noticed the temp guage needle fluctuating around a lot, before it settled down and then ran okay. I have noticed the temp needle wobbling about from the 'normal' a bit even when everything appears okay.
It's booked into the garage on Monday, but I am not overly optimistic that they will diagnose the fault as no warning lights have lit up when it has started to play up and I am sure when they just plug it into the diagnostic computer it will just come up with the standard 'no fault found' response.
Anyone else experienced a similar problem, so that I might be able to give them a few pointers on Monday?
Thanks for any help!
Neal.
