help

its the usual faults, but im having no luck curing them,so far ive changed plugs coil pack, pre cat sensor, cleaned throttle body,im getting code po314 from my scanner, some one has mention injectors, havent got there yet, these symptoms came on all of a sudden no warning, also talk of a burnt valve, surely i would have some smoke from exhaust.
its a 1.2 16v,one thing i have noticed was some petrol right by the cat, also when the wife brought the car back with these faults, there was some smoke coming from the handbrake area, and it stunk of a sweet smell, sort of burning smell,it
can some one throw some light on these problems

Finally found out the cause of the dreaded misfire, had to replace coil pack again, this one lasted all of a month, going straight back to where it came from, I did have a second opinion from some garage who came out to have a look, the first words out of his gob head gaskets gone, did explain reasons, seemed plausible so went ahead and ordered some new head bolts, gasket set along with cambelt kit and water pump, so took my time changing the parts that needed to be done, also refreshed the fliuds, so when the time came to start her up, it still misfired,so went and got another coil pack started first time , the relief so glad to get car working, least doing cambelt is quiet an easy job, something I was dreading, least I know my engine Is in a reasonable condition Den
