missfire AGAIN!!

got a clio 172cup with decat cat back and group n chip from ktec. had a problem with it 2months back, which was a missfire, sorted it with some new top line ngk plugs and a genuine renault injector. went out in it again tonight, same happens again, pulled out of a junction running on 3 cylinders! gutted, im expecting another injector gone, at first i thought hole in the piston from running to weak with the decat, but obv not. is this a fault anyone has suffered with?? :evil:

Have you tryed getting all your injectors cleaned ?

Might be worth a try to see if it helps usually about a tenner each

Better than 69.31 ish from Renault for a new injector

yeah i got a new one last time, gonna get them all cleaned, but on the other hand might take the broken one back to renault that i bought new a month ago n say its faulty

Ive just got a 182, but my old car was an escort rs turbo. They can develop really bad missfires, usual suspects would be the plugs or ignition leads or distributor or coil. Dunno whether the same would apply to a clio though.

i tried a new coil never made difference, put some plug in made it better slightly, then changed the injector and did it, but ant had chance to plug it in at the garage yet.

does anyone no how good aftermarket injectors are, gains-downfalls

I've had two injectors go in a few months... not the same, different ones. Car is on 118k not sure if thats relevant or not

no mines only done 34k, ant had chance to do the check as away racing at thruxton. will check once home monday

put plugs new plugs at 33,500miles just put some more in 3 months later 35,000 and one of the spark plugs where wrecked, causing miss fire at the bottom end. anyway thanks for all the helpful responces! NOT! Thanks to the ones who did reply though
