Mk1 Carbon Fibre Boot Trim

Ive been trying to get a carbon fibre boot trim 2nd hand, but all of them seem to have broken screws when they are removed.

Is it possible to buy the screws else where and fit them? Or are they actually a part of the boot trim and once they break theres nothing that can be done?

The screws normally either snap off in the inserts or they are wedged solid into the insert which then gets removed from the trim.

Can you not take the trim apart to remove the screws? Or once they snap/get wedged is the trim rendered useless?

Not useless, just less holding it on.
