mk1 clutch question

i noticed yesterday that my clutch felt a little funny. starting the car up last nite i put her into reverse went to take my foot of the clutch and it stayed there. first thing i though was my clutch cable had snapped or my cluth return spring had gone.

i pulled the clutch pedal off the bulkhead and its been working well ever since.

i was thinking it might need some wd40 or is it more serious than that.

Change the clutch cable using a genuine cable not a GSF copy. The cable has a built in adjuster and if fitted correctly with a new bulk head grommet will work like new.

n give it a nice grease whill your there... stupid one but my mum complained that her car was doing the same thing..

on further inspection it was getting caught on the mat... lol

just double check it!!

haha will check that one. its been ok today. think i will give it a good grease as well as the cable is not that old

mine has got stuck down on the matt before, was a tad freaky/dangerous!
