mk1 ph2 rear lights

Looking to get a new pair of rear lights for my mk1 ph1, replacing the standard ones with the standards from the ph2/ph3. what i want to know is are the connections/mountings the same?

is there a difference between the ph2s and 3s? i thought the ph1s were the flat ones then the ph2s and 3s shared the same shape cluster?

Yup got it in one ....Ph2 and 3 are the same, Ph1's are flat
