Is it me or does that seem far too cheap?

I know it says sills need welding but even so, they go for way more money that that normally.

My uncle just paid £2500 for a mk2 1.6 ghia 4 door in sick yellow/brown. So it's probably about right

Well if that's the real price it pisses on any Cortina or Capri I was planning on as a project car,
not that I have £3k atm, but that won't last forever.

I might keep my eye out for one of those when the time comes.

The problem with the ford scene is all the thieving c***s, i was so close to buying a 3dr cosworth a few years back (had a deposit onit car was £8k) but that week 3 were stolen on passionford, all in different areas and all believe to be stolen by members of the forum, i decided to lose my deposit and not get the car (rather lose £100 than £8k)

Wouldn't say it was overly cheap, probably about right.

The money is in the 2 door shells, estates and 4 doors are not as desirable.

4 doors are still just as desirable for the motorsport scene, quite a few of the top Welsh road rally championship escorts are 4 doors. Proper bits of kit too.

I suspect they are desirable for rallying from a cost perspective, RS2k for 10k+ or a 4dr for anything from 2k - 4kish

Same wheel base on the 2 and 4 doors and I don't think there is a great deal of weight difference so they still drive the same. 2 doors looks better though.

Which is why when I get a classic Ford i'll just stay on here,
plenty of knowledgeable people on CS to help me out with parts and spannering.

Screw having to start all over again on another forum,
especially ones full of pikey thieves.

When you do get a proper Ford (I mean classic) its well worth trying www.oldskoolford.co.uk though.
