If it's driving fine , I can't see a problem , especially on older higher mileage cars , after a good run and then dropped straight back to idle the oil pressure light can blink on and off , as it gets older you may find it starts doing it at idle regularly,( just low oil pressure , but perfectly normal) ... as long as you've got good quality oil and the light goes off and stays off as soon as you add throttle you should be OK
Does the engine take 1 or 2 mins to sound healthy or immediately after you turn the key ? ... lazy oil pump?
Could also just be an electrical fault
Watch the light closely when it comes on/off , does it tie in with the feel of the engine (ie. would you guess it was working and showing a correct display ... , or just randomly , like a bad electrical component ?
hope this helps
