i would like to upgrade my clio tape player to a c.d player but i want to know is there any way of doing so without affecting the screen above it and the steering wheel controls and could anyone recommend a c.d player that capable of doing that

My bird's old man changed the tape player in his MK2 to a Sony C.D player, naturally the controls didn't work I think Renault only built it to work with their own so he had to buy a module which cost about £40. No idea where he got it from though, this was 10 years ago.

Halfords sell an adapter for custom headunits so your stalk controls and dash display still work. The nyou have to buy another adapter to go from the Halfords adapter to your stereo (Say if you get a Pioneer HU then you'll need a Pioneer one). The only problem is you have to take the whole dash off to get to the plug behind the dash display.
