MK2 V6 head unit

I always thought that the V6 head unit is the same as the 182 one. But this is not the case... as the 182 has 'update list' on the head unit, with Aux port in the back and the V6 doesn't.

On my 182 I could plug my ipod into the Aux but now I can't with the V6

What year is your V6 Jay because up until 2005 they should be the same unit in the 182 and V6. Your 182 was 2005 correct?

Yes mate my 182 was an 05plate and my V6 is an 05plate :S

Hmmm...strange that! Does the V6 head unit say Update List on it?

Nope not on the front and it hasn't got an AUX port on the back!? :S

Ok cool... Sounds like it might be a pre-2005 head unit. Meaning the car was (obviously as it's a Vee) built before 2005 but registered in that year.

it's got 60W stereo?? I'm sure the 182 was/is 40/45W??
