Mk3 bonnet catch problems?

On the motorway earlier, bonnet decided to open a wee bit, anyone else had similar? Or is mine just a shed?

can be awkward to shut properly without having to push down on the bonnet, but never had any issues.

The catch is quite complex I can't see it releaseing have you had a look at the mechanism can't say I've had any trouble with mine

Read the manual guys.....and i quote

"To close the bonnet, hold the middle and guide it down to one foot (30 cm) and lease. it will latch automatically under its own weight"

I even now see poeple lowering it slowly untill fully down and then pushing it closed with thier hands......no wonder they sometime pop up again
