A friend of mine wants a Clio, Mk2 Ph1, but is only just 18 and wants a second hand 1.2 for insurance reasons.

Two questions:

1. For a good condition 1.2 (say an MTV or a Grande) how much should he pay?

2. Also, 8v or 16v?

well for a start an MTV or a Grande aint anything special is it.........i mean......lets face it.....all you get is ....say......eletric windows & a stupid sticker !!! whoopy fookin do !!! 16vs are allways better !! price depends on year !!!

i reckon you could pick up a nice example 2000 X plate 1.2, 3 door grande with 36k on the clock for about £3500

I think hes looking more at £1500-2500. He wants a CD player, and he wants it to be in a Clio... I dont think huge numbers of extras are terribly important.

The thing with 16v (I agree with you - they are better) is that the insurance may be higher... I dont know.
