My mobileme account is about to run out, never really used it to be honest, does it mean i will lose my mac mail?

all my mail comes to my iphone to my mac address this is the only way i check my email. Without mobileme will i lose that email address or that feature?

now I have the iPhone, iPad and MacBook Pro, I feel obliged to keep my trial of Mobile ME but need to be able to justify the costs. Is eBay the cheapest way as I worry that the codes they send will not work
