Mods??

HI,
Only had my Mk2 172 a week and already added an IK. Unfortunatly i discovered this forum too late and bought a Pipercross. Also got one of those POWER MODULES from Celux but binned it when i read about them in here.
What MODS shall i be considering? and in what order?
Have a trip to Nurberg planned for spring and don't want to be dragging my arse around..

unless you have £££££££££ don't bother wth the engine

spend you ££ on suspension and brakes

exhaust, de-cat/sports cat, the only mods for reasonable money.
or maybe things like suspension of alloys (only if you dont like the original wheels)

have seen the de cats. they look good. my mate has one on his elise - gets flames out of the back box on change down.. any idea where to get one from, and how much?

just search on the internet loads of places do them, prices vary from about £80-£120 (don't quote me on that though)

but with a de-cat pipe you will have to change it everytime the MOT comes around. In saying that if you have more to spend you could always get a sports cat which you don't have to change for the MOT:

yep you can indeed mate!
alot of people just go for the de-cat and leave the original exhaust.

Suspension and brakes first depending how bad the standard brakes are for you but I'd go for DS2500 if you need new pads and stock disks. Then if your feeling like spending get some 182 hubs and 182 LEDA coilovers and get it fully setup.
