Cooler running internals so its doesn't fall over when it gets hot.
If you dont like it in black wait till they're sold out and they'll be replacing the premium system internals with the same spec as this one... think I prefer it in white too.
You can buy a piece of kit now which sits between the xbox and HD and plugs into your PC's SATA port

will running games at 1080p through HDMI be better than 1080i through component? that will dictate whether i should buy an elite or not! the bigger hd doesn't bother me at all, i still have loads of room on my current drive.

yes 1080p will be better than 1080i through component by far and better than 1080p via vgs due to it been digital all the way through

BUT what about games like GoW which say are running at 1080i, do you think thats the highest they will go? do you think new games will come out at 1080p? or perhaps revised versions of the same games?

1080p is not far better than 1080i unless your screen is larger than about 50"

You wont tell difference between 1080i and 1080p on anything smaller.

To run 1080p you need to make sure your hdtv supports it anyway because most dont!

You will pay about £200 more for a tv that supports 1080p as apposed to 1080i

the bproblem is as you pointed out no games are native 1080p and there is only 1 or 2 that i knowe of that are out any time soon that support it at the moment everything is just upscaled so quality isnt that noticeable

Does anyone not think Microsoft have done this because the PS3 is going to be EXTREME! I'm a big fan of the xbox and have a 360 at the moment and have always though my 360 might some day get replace by the PS3 but now the 360 has a bigger hard drive, cooling operating (less crashes, Thank f**k), 1080p through HDMi cable and also a new colour its really giving me something to figure out... The 2 things im stuck on is 1. Do I want the best online gaming experience with xbox live (which tbh is never gonna be beaten) or 2. Will Gran Tourismo HD coming out in October/November just blow my knickers off!!

Grrrr I hate choices.. Can anyone help me out a little here? Also I don't really want to end up buying both lol

You can download a video on xbox live of bungie making that trailor and they also talk abut some of the new characters and you see a little in game play, probably only testing but it looks good.

Some people were saying the chips would use 65nm but I dont think they are. This would have provided better cooling. Might do at some point in the future

What they should have done is shipped the new 360 with the hd-dvd drive built in.. then I would have bought one.. then it would have been worth making a new version..

as it stands I wont be chopping in my 360 for one of them..
