More power........

  Black PH2 172 FF
I got a MK1 ph3 1.2 Clio, and I want to put a 1.8 16v engine in. What exactly do I need? I am thinking it's - Engine, ECU, gear box, wiring loom, alternator and starter motor. Have I missed anything? Also, does anyone know what company is best for changing engines? I know K-Tec do it, but they are a bit pricey.... Any help would be great. Thanks. :approve:

As well as what you've listed you'll need;

- the top (16v) engine mount,
- 16v radiator and fan,
- 16v coilpack,
- 16v driveshafts,
- 16v fuel pump,
- 16v accelerator cable

If your 1.2 has no PAS you'll also need bracketry to remove the PAS pump off the 16v engine or else you'll need to fit a PAS column and rack

  Looking for a ph-quick...
DUDE!!!!!

ive just done the very same in my 1.4rt!!!

i mananged to get my hands on a valver engine thats was still on the subframe. it had everything, brakes, suspension, power steering rack basically the whole front end engine wise!
i think this would be the best way to go about this type of conversion because its a straight swap, subframe mounting points are the same.
Like u33db says u will need the wiring loom and ecu, but if get a whole engine still on the subframe u will have all the bits still on (shafts, p/steering pump) u'll need the rad.

Like i sed mate ive just finished mine so if youve got any questions send me a pm or sumfin!!
cheers bud hope this helps
