Mot bucket seats

  172 cup
Looking at getting my car M.O.Ted in the coming week. i have a single fixed bucket seat fitted with standard seat belt is this ok for the mot. This might have been answered before but could not find anything.

If you've still got back seats I'm pretty sure they fail it as the rear passengers won't be able to get out in an accident

There'd be no problem with it if you took the rear seats out

As long as you can got to the rear seat belts it will pass no requirements about rear passengers getting out.
Fixed buckets are ok in my book because they don't move

They're certainly is - because my 106 failed for having fixed buckets and rear seats for exactly that reason. In a 3 door car with rear seats the front seats must slide and tilt forward.
If you remove the rear seats though it's MOT'd as a 2 seater so fixed back seats are fine

It looks like the OP only has one fixed, passengers can leave via the passenger door. Where they should be going so I don't have to move my seat.

Nice one guys cheers for the feedback

Just need to get these airbag lights off now. Been trying the resistors but no luck has anyone removed the bulbs for the mot?

I don't think you're quite thinking about "in case of an accident" - if you pile the passenger side into a tree the driver would get out and leave the people in the rear seat to die

I think it's probably worse only having one - as if you had 2 you could argue with the MOT place that there's no way for them to get in the back to start with

Just hope your MOT station are friendly :)

it was a joke dude lol,

as for hiding the lights, you can just take the clocks apart and put tape over the offending LEDs someone on here recently did just that and it worked a treat!
