MOT help (lights)

My cars going in for an mot in the morn. What's the max watt bulbs you are allowed for main beam and will led sidelights fail? I have both normal bulbs but kills the hands changing them in this weather

Dont think they care mate, aslong as they work, never seen them with a multimeter testing them... LOL

Just put it in, you will get a free resit for up to 12 days i think, if it fails they will tell you what you need, simples.

i'm just saying that's the legal max

the chances of finding that single anal mot tester that pulls the lamps to check the wattage is worse odds than me winning the euro lotto while balls deep in alicia dixon lol

Not sure if they allow LED sidelights, everytime i have my car back from mot the LED sidelights are in the ashtray waiting to be fixed back..

I text my uncles (a mechanic who worked for Renault) he told me 55. The bulbs are 80. My side lights are quad led soo..

Just spent 45 mins outside changing them in the cold :-D passenger side is fine. Drivers side with the aircon pipes in the way was the most time consuming part!

At least it's done now
