Is there any regulation on the height of a car??
mines low....very low,
i raised the back because i thought it might help,
but its only made the front lower,
it can only be aprox 3inches off the floor,
is there any reason it would fail for this??

Yeah long as it goes on the ramps its np, Had a car in that would go on the ramps so i had to raise the dam thing then set it back down once i was finished with it -.-'

what if they can get it on the ramp but using bits of wood? will it still be test worthy?

iirc not being able to drive straight onto the ramps is an immediate fail, but as said some may let it slide.
we'd fail you if you couldnt get on the ramp (or get the sliding jack under the car to lift it up for the inspection since the mot ramp has to be a drive on ramp) or on the rollers, the brake efficenty rollers are pretty deep set into the ground, think dean (bio hazard) at the rolling road irrc his sub frame hit the rollers.
only other thing you might run into is the head light aim, if the cars too low they may aim to low, same way if you raise the coils up over standard height they might aim too high. had a car come in and it failed initially on the head light aim being too low, then we saw it had 4 broken coil springs-oops.

surely if its too low to get in the brake rollers you would just to a decelerometer test.

i dont think i have ever fail/refused to test a car for being too low

if you find a mot place with either a sunken ramp or a pit i cant see there being any problems at all

I had to take my other car to a garage with a pit last year (at the time I couldn't find another garage that would take it), but this year I was told on a local forum about a place that had a suitable (for my car) ramp, so took it there and all was fine.

If you are on any local forums with low cars, see where they go.

The MOT is just checking that the car is safe for the road. Ride height is fine.
The lowest point on my car is only about 3icnhes off the floor. MOT place caught my fat cat and bent the exhaust on the ramp. So next time i will be making mine higher :)
So imo if you can, then make it higher so they dont damage your car
