Can some please just confirm when i need my 1st MOT doing? is it when my car actually turns three years old??? if so do u get a reminder howadays thru the post??? thanks

3 years after it was first reg'd
and no you dont get a reminder

A reminder ? its an MOT not your telly licence !!! its down to you.

But of course, it should coincide with your tax renewal if the car has been in continuous use.

as said above , check your log book , it will give you the date of registration . you will need an M.O.T 3 years from that date .
