Moto GP 06 XBox 360

  182 Trophy
Played the demo and liked it for a bit. But found you need to concentrate to much to get a good lap and this annoyed me, one mistake on xbox live and all the saddo's who play the game all the time come flying past and its game over. It was a game that I was looking forward to getting but this put me off.

I played the demo. It's one of those games that takes time and effort to get good, and I don't have the time at the moment. I can't play a racing game and not aim to be one of the best so I won't bother.

I'll give Test Drive Unlimited a good bashing though when that's out.

yeah i downloaded the demo but never really got into it

the bike seems far too stable. sure u can make the back wiggle about a bit under breaking but nothing of much interest and the game just didnt seem to have much "feeling" as i didnt really feel in control of the bike (probably true)

not a keeper for me

Rubbish handling on the bikes, annoying camera angles. I personally think its not much of an improvement from MotoGP3 on the Xbox. I won't be buying this. But I will have some of Test Drive Unlimited when it comes out. I thought the demo was pretty damn good. Roll on September!

I was planning on buying this but initial comments I've read online from people who have bought the game are very negative. Apparently it suffers from framerate issues and very long loading times. I didn't enjoy the TD Unlimited demo so I'll not plan on buying it.

i didn't like the demo but for some reason bought the game anyway and i love it, so realistic, graphics are really good and online play is also good.

Glad I purchased it and can't see why there are so many negative views from people on it, especially when they haven't played the finished game.

The negative views I read were from people who purchased the Game lastnight/today. Having said that I've also read some very positive reviews so I may well give it a try for myself.

The demo was a bit jerky.

I found the Xbox Moto GP games were too arcade like for my tastes. It was all about flying around at stupid speeds like in Wipeout or something and seeing who crashed the least!

The expert players end up riding with stupid set-ups that let them go round corners like speedway riders. Plain stupid!

The PS2 version had more impressive sim-handling but it was wasted with no Xbox Live to play it on.

Tourist Trophy on PS2 is ace, wish they could use that handling model for MotoGP and have 16 player online games.

from playing it so far it does seem very like a sim, not at all easy but i think getting a decent bike will be the key and for that you will need to spend some time on your own without xbox live to interfer.

I can't decide between buying this on payday or buying CoD2 Game of the Year Edition as I do not own either of them yet.

Played it but wasn't too keen on the cornering at all... recommend PGR3, or alternatively wait for Forza 2, the first game was largely unappreciated by the masses but it was a corker, taking the best elements of Gran Turismo, but the implementation of the driving line allows a great way to learn every track. The customisation is also very good, not just parts can be changed but parts can be individually tuned to suit preferences/ racing conditions.

the cornering problem you have is because you haven't given the game enough time, its totally different to any car racing game which we are all comfortable with and can pretty much pick up and play any of them, bikes are a totally different way of playing though, its all about slowing down for the corners so takes a lot more practice, i say you should give it a bit more time, its grown on me as i had the same problem when i first started playing it.

Anyone here played Over G Fighters? I've read some user comments on the Xbox forums which say the game is great, looking for more input before I decide to buy.
