If you drive on the motorway a lot then probably, 3.5k Revs for me at 70

That is true, but long journeys piss me off so I drive at a constant 80 so I can get there quicker,
if I manage to do a constant 80 without too many stop starts, I still see 38-40mpg in a remapped 172.

Same here, when I had a 1.1 Metro I still did 80 on the motorway,
sh*t scary though. lol
