Mine is taking an age, only 2.2gb downloaded!

All downloaded for me - the ilife,iworks,aperture updates etc.. took about 10mins to download and install
Mountain Lion took about 5 mins to download (120mbps FTW) but I haven't installed it yet - just doing some backups and clearing some space on my macbook

Anyone getting a free upgrade due to purchasing a Mac lately? Only bought mine on Monday, requested a code as soon as it appeared earlier today but no email yet.

My 40gb cap is not looking good this month, downloaded about 6gb of OS and iLife updates the moment I plugged it in, and now this and more iWork updates to hammer it a bit more.

I've got my code and have installed. The code took around 2 hours to come through and it let me download straight away.

Loving the new safari, blazingly quick.

Nice that it works out of the box with iOS6 too.

Can I expect any issues with VMWare Fusion? I don't need to break my virtual machines. That would be an overnight disaster.

NTFS for Mac OS works fine, I think the latest version is 9.5.3

Right I've used it solid for a couple of hours.

Seriously impressed. I have a 2009 13" MBP with a 5400rpm drive and 8GB of ram and after 3-4 restarts and spotlight did its reindexing thing...WOW, i just cannot believe that 3 year old hardware is still this fast. The improvements to speed and smoothness are easily worth upgrading for.

Ok so theres not much in the way of progress, but this is OS X its been good since it was launched.

Thumbs up to Apple. I dread to think how much newer macs scream along with this OS.

I take it you never used cheetah or puma then! Jaguar was when it really started to feel less beta.

It's slick now though and at least the upgrade price reflects the fact that they're now much more incremental upgrades.
