MSN Issues

Right - After ditching Adium (thanks tom lol) I installed MSN - much prefer the interface etc but i've got an issue regarding my contacts.

I've got about 500+ contacts that I don't even know from ages ago. I logged on to Windows LIVE and removed them from the address book on there - This then removed them from my contact list...
HOWEVER - everytime I log on it says X wants to add you (even though i've just deleted them) and it does it for every contact i've just deleted?

Even after trapsing through them all and denying the request - as soon as I log out and log back in they all pop up again - Can anyone advise?

I take it your on a mac? Get this quite alot at work and this is how I sort it.

Delete the following .plist files

~/Library/Preferences/Microsoft/Microsoft Messenger User Cache.plist

~/Library/Preferences/com.microsoft.Messenger.plist

~/Library/Caches/com.microsoft.Messenger

reinstalled adium in the end lol.
