Musty smell

I bought the car the other day and it seems to have a very strong musty smell inside, it has a sunroof and I have checked all doors, the sunroof, boot etc for leakage but it's all fine.

Any ideas of what it could be?

Is this common on this car?

if it has air-con it might need a cleaner through it,its like a smoke bomb you let off in car whilst air -con is running.

Tbh the smell went yesterday when I'd cleaned it but then I went out for a couple of hours and it came back again, I had the aircon running throughout. What should I do bud?

Ah if it went and came back then it probs wont be smoke related.

You probably have a leak, I can bet one of the footwells is damp, also try under the seats. If so. Take the carpets and foam out to dry. And spray the car with the hose and see where it comes in.

It could be that the drain holes in the scuttle panel are blocked. On mine this caused water to overflow into the cabin.
