MW2 Weapons/Perks guide?

Is there one? I'm only on rank 26 so a lot of stuff is not open. No idea what the best weapons etc are!

I am currently using a Scar with red dot and secondary attchement which always depends on map (usually hearbeat/grenade launcher or FMJ) which a side arm of machine pistol with red dot.

What other weapon sets are good for all round damage? I want to get a good number of weapon sets... but being a nooooooooob and frankly no idea about weapons, any tips woukd be grand!

im loving the fal with red dot and silencer but its single shot so many wouldnt like it and tar 21 with red dot and silencer

Depending on the game type, I sometimes have the stinger as a secondary weapon for taking out the attack choppers and harriers. Be prepared to take weapons you find on the floor though as I have ran out of ammo a few times. I attach the grenade launcher for a couple of extra shots.

My advice is just pick one weapon and unluck everything for it then switch attachments to match games. So Heartbeat for Free-For-All or Red-Dot for TDM.

I use the SCAR for open levels where range is needed such as Quarry.
I use the P90 SMG for close levels such as Favala and Airport.

Sleight of hand pro
Cold blooded
Scrambler

I used famas till I unlocked scar and stuck with that till I unlocked m16 which is my favourite.

Always use bling pro and have red dot with fmj

I have a thermal fmj setup for some of the larger levels but then you get people that use the perk which hides you from thermal so they are pretty much invisible.

Then have a .50 cal sniper which I will put thermal on once I unlock it but usually only snipe on that level which is basicly a massive hedge with underpassage and few buildings

I use the M14a thing, i usually find the first gun they give you is best.

Depends on the game type...

For FFA my set up is:

M16 with heartbeat and red dot (using BLING pro perk)
Stinger for enemy aircraft
Stopping power (1 burst kills)
Scrambler pro

I prefer the above as i get to conserve ammo, and i regularly win FFA with 30/5 average KD ratio. THe m16 isnt available til 40 though, so substitute it with the FAMAS...If you cant handle the burst fire, SCAR is quite good also...or M14A...with the above perks still.....

FAMAS is too weak though. Even with FMU it takes 2 good bursts to kill someone.

famas ftw with holographic sight and silencer + dual 1888 shotgun, hardline pro, bling pro and ninja pro. anyone who uses scrambler as a perk is daft imo, it just aids the enemy! as soon as you see your map fading you know someone is near you!!! lol

oh and prestige gives yo another class and a couple more challenges... thats it.

and fmj isnt supposed to add damage, its basically the deep impact perk from mw.

nero, famas kills with a single burst if you hit chest, head so no need for stopping power imo

Re: The FAMAS - *definitely* needs Stopping Power on anything other than Hardcore.

Loving the TAR-21 and Scar for 'General Purpose' and the Vector or P90 with Rapid Fire, Scavenger, Stopping Power and Ninja for CQB.

Because the Scar and TAR-21 are powerful and accurate, Stopping Power is overkill - try using Hardline Pro for faster kill streaks.

PP200 + Red Dot + FMJ or Silencer

Bling Pro
Hardline Pro or Stopping Power Pro
Commando Pro or something else that I can't remember now lol

Last stand Death Streak

UAV
Care Package
Sentry Gun or Precision Missle

Not too fussed about the "higher" kill streak rewards as the care package normally has one of those in it anyway.

UAV is a waste of time, just use the heartbeat sensor...Thermal is also a waste of time, a gimmick...

Killstreaks for me, predator, helicopter, apache....easy 15 kill streak every game!

I'll play anyone on here one on one with my setup and destroy you...:cool::rasp:

silencer + red dot (or grip for LMG) in other cases.

Pred, pave, AC130 for me.

Find the ac130 gets more kills than the chopper tbh and it's harder to shoot down imo.

Thanks for the tips! Had a blast with the Famas with red dot and grenade launcher (due to not having unlocked hearbeat on this weapon yet!) with bling, stopping power and steady aim + Martyrdom

Had much better results!!
