Ultra Red Megane 175
I can't believe it's that time of year again....
I was lucky enough once again this year to fit in two rounds of the WRC, including WRC Rally d'Italia which was absolutely unforgettable for all sorts of reasons. I've tried to include a shot from every event, but forgive me if there's a slight bias towards the WRC rounds!
#1 - First event of the year was a cold, icy Red Kite Stages. Not an event I particularly enjoy due to the stages used but it serves as a useful warm-up. Shame it's not being run this year:
#2 - Thanks to the MSA we'll never get to see or hear this beast echoing through the Forest of Dean ever again:
#3 - Rali Cwm Gwendraeth at a wet Pembrey. Always good fun down there when it's been raining:
#4 -Slight change of discipline for the British Cross Country Championship above the Rhondda Valley:
#5 - A spot on Epynt I've always wanted to shoot, so was pleased to get this:
#6 - A disconsolate Jason Pritchard after retiring from the Neath Valley Stages:
#7 - An angle shot a million times on Epynt, but this was the first time ever for me. Peter Lloyd in his S12b holding it flat over the Centre Road Jumps:
A couple from Sardinia:
#8 - THE moment of 2011 for me. Kris Meeke absolutely flat over the Crastazza jump - he actually landed in line with us so I reckon he must have flown almost 50 feet:
#9 - Mikko on Shakedown:
#10 - Sebastien Loeb making a bit of a splash:
#11 - Bernardo Sousa in his Fiesta S2000:
#12 - Dry and Dusty at Sweet Lamb?!
#13 - Quinton Stages; my favourite spot on Halfway which I 'kind of' discovered:
#14 - Sweet Lamb again for the Mid Wales Stages:
#15 - Severn Valley Stages. This was taken on what is probably my favourite stage anywhere in the UK - Gwibedog:
#16 - Another angle on Epynt I'd never done:
And a couple from WRC Wales Rally GB to finish:
#17 - Bit of mud never hurt!
#18 - Seb Loeb high up on Myherin as the sun was setting:
#19 - Something a bit different:
#20 - It's that man Petter again to finish:
Cheers,
Rhod
