just was checking my tyre wear......lowered it n tracking still to be done.......only to find a tack in it!!! so back to my tyre shop...they remembered my face as it has been so long since i was last there!! £10.50 for a repair...cant complain i guess, just pisses me off.......damn tyres!!! lol

£10.50? Is that at the dealer? My garage only charges £5.00 to repair a puncture - could have got two done at that price!! Robbery.

If you want good wearing tyres buy Michelins, I dont know about grip but wear wise they last for ages. My old old saxo had the original Michelins on the back at 60k and the fronts lasted until 35k bloody good tyres.

well, i found they were good wi the Tyres Rob..........that old git recognised me tho...........didnt say a word lol!!!!

i went for a puncture repair on the front conti (no spare wheel, so didnt hunt around for a good deal), a place called Iverson tyres in W London, £15.50!!!!!!!!!! including rebalancing etc.

Thats living in London for you

Mind you they could do £59 inc vat/fit/tracking etc per new conti which isnt too bad.

good lad lol........the guy spend a good 20mins on my tyre, sealing it, n fitting a rubber bung thing in the hole, which wears down with the tread, to stop it leaking etc.....and they have up to date Balancing machines, which he spent a lot of time on getting it just right. I dont grudge spending the money for the quality or workmanship.........like the saying goes, ya get what ya pay for...... i guess :)

I found when I had Toyos on my old car they seemed to "pickup" screws and nails etc.

Superb tyres.

Mind you I only pay about £3-4 for puncture repairs

I have toyos on my rims at the mo and my tracking was out by a degree (which apparently is alot...) and the outer inch of my brand spanking new toyos within 2 and a half weeks had gone bald!

Kwik fit told me I needed new tyres but I think they just caught site of the toyo proxes and thought theyd cash in with me being a blonde bird n all...

I was havin none of it tho ;) took the car back a few weeks later and got the tyres changed over so the wear was on the inside and hey presto sorted - heehee got it done for free too ;)
