Finally after around a month of not having my car i now have it back....! After many frustrating calls and talks with renault uk and Inchcape renault i got my car back yesterday, started off having a new 'box put in at Rentech, however the box turned out to be faulty so the car went to Inchcape renault in southampton to have another 'box put in under warrenty. As it is it took renault over a week to fit the box where as it took Ren tech around three days.
To which yesterday i had a phone call from inchcape, 'could you please bring down your spare key as we cannot start the car, as the immobilser will not turn off. When i had got there i found out that they had reprogrammed the other key already so the one that i had brought down was useless. Any idiot knows that you should have both keys toghther if you are going to reprogramme them! Bearing in mind i live just near to guildford so this was a good half a day i had to take off of work to go to southampton.
So after this i phoned renault uk, who got onto the dealership straight away. In the end they had their 'RTE mechanic' working on the car, what does that stand for...Retarded t**t??? Who said 'no it wont be a bad earth that is causing the car not to start, its the immobilser'.... well duh, but its a bad earth thats causing the immobisler not to turn off.
Turns out in the end that it was a bad earth connection to the gearbox which had just been fitted by then, safe to say i dont think the RTE mechanic wanted to talk to me after that.
Not only did they c**k that up, but they would accept liabilty that the car drove to the dealership fine and they managed to screw it up. And plus the Service Manager answer to every question i asked was 'I dont know'
It still goes on............. im having such a good rant!
When i saw the car it was covered in tree sap top to bottem, dont know if many of you have had this on your car but its a basterd to try and get off. Anyways, Renault Uk had said to me on the phone that the car would have a full valet inside and out for the inconvience caused... When i asked why this hadnt been done..... the response was 'Our valeters have gone home'........ GET A f**king SPONGE!
This really has proven the renault are useless!
Anyway cars back, and being treated to a alloy wheel refurb! and a damn good polish!
