My car history in brief (so far!)

Had someone PM me asking how the hell I have had so many cars in only 2 years of driving, so thought I would post my history here too :)

First car I bought completely standard. Clio 1.2 16v that brought me to this forum. Ended up looking like this;

That developed a problem with the oil, where it ended up that the engine seized completely whilst on the motorway. Not good, left me skint so I bought a cheap shitter for the time being;

Looked kinda cool, was cheap, failed 3 MOTs so sold it for half of what I paid just to get rid of it. Never actually drove it, as I bought this with some money I got from getting knocked off my scooter;

That's the only car I regret selling. That f**king noise was immense. Swapped it for this to save on MPG;

It was standard when I bought it. Made it look pretty cool, got me to Trax which was a laugh. Then, whilst having a cheeky blast with my mate, the oil pump failed on the motorway, and again seized the engine. Broke it for spares as with my last one and got this as a runaround;

WHAT A LAUGH! Amazing car. Loved it. 13" deep dish Minilites, genuine Sportspack arches, GAZ coilovers, limited edition Mini 30. Was a bargain, but as it was only a runaround (and winter was approaching), I ended up buying this after seeing a few of them around and reading the reviews;

The best handling car I've owned. Would outhandle anything on corners, was strange how it just seemed to grip and grip and grip. Never once understeered! Took it on track at Rockingham (FCS 2011, got a few odd looks!) and loved it. Put it on KW coilovers and it completely ruined the handling tbh. Fell out of love with it after just under a years' ownership as it wasn't the same car even after taking the coilovers off. Sold it and was carless for a bit. Missed having something on my drive, which brings me to my current bargain;

Hopefully this one's here to stay. Third time lucky and all...

My brother recently bought a Panda 100HP after me showing him pics of yours mate. I love it!

How you finding the Trophy?

Ive had double that in the same time :) Only one nearly as quick as the clios though. How do you do on insurance?

Always come down to the main shows regardless of my car, thought I'd take it on track and show people what it could do :rasp:

Your plate is good. Looked great on the front of that black Clio.
Cheers, got it looking just how I wanted it to tbh before it died :(

Excellent! They are cracking little cars. So much fun!

The Trophy puts a smile on my face. It came with a Yozza and it's not decatted so just sounds ridiculous. Has an R-Sport ECU on it too so it never stops revving pmsl. Not had chance to chuck it around properly yet though as the handling feels a bit weird... on uneven road surfaces the steering wheel is all over the place! Had the tracking looked at and sorted, still weird though. May just be the cars...

Produced 183BHP at RSTuning today which I'm pleased with.

Great result mate, odd about the steering though?!

Haha, could agree more about the Panda, I drive it at every chance I get! It never seems to run out of grip, proper hoot to drive.

You can maintain your speed around the corner and put it on full throttle out of the corner. My mate's got a PH1 on ASTs, it outhandled that as standard! Was pushing Evos/some Subaru Legacy thing around corners at FCS haha. Just slower than everything in the straights but I soon caught them up :rasp:

Not sure what the steering issue would be. I'll look into it properly one day! What colour 100HP did your brother get btw?

Cheers :) got it looking just how I wanted it to, then that was it. It was all worth it for that one photo though, love that pic.

I know what you mean bud. We spend a fortune on these cars and its the small things that make it all the worthwhile!

I loved my first Clio too, that looked just how I wanted it.

Another of my 172 from Trax 2010;

Nothing rwd yet!

Cant go wrong with a trophy, enjoy :)

I'm stunned at your comments to the panda, they're horrible to look at, so surprised they handle well, they look too high!

Same as yours mate! When you had yours up for sale I was going to give you a bell, but he ended up going for one that was 5 miles away.

Personally, I love the way the look. They're just so much fun, have a load of character. My missus saw his for the first time the other day and came out with, 'Why is Joel driving a lunchbox?' Lol!

The Impreza was fun in the snow, kicked it's arse out when you wanted it to but would drive literally anywhere in any amount of snow. It was almost up to the front grille at one point and it just drove through it!

Panda looked better on coilovers but the handling just wasn't as good.

Very nice! Blue is the best colour ;) looks amazing in the sun. Definitely have a lot of character, you have to live with one to realise that. To everyone else it's just a special bus ;)
