My Cars sick )-:

Bloody car is sick, just driving home from work and the management light came on not just one but both lights.

And it wont go over 3000rpm, typical that work was closing as I left or I would have been able to put it on the clip

Aint had this one before on a clio, so looking forward to fixing it.

hehe, ironic aint it all these people have all these probs wiht one or two year old cars, but i have a 9 year old car and havent had a prob wiht it yet.

There seems to be alot more probs wiht newer cars than the older ones, is it just me or is this tha case?

Yeah its down to all the crap they have to fit on the cars now days to get the emissions down, but its not just reno that get the problems its industry wide.

Could be the Exhaust Gas Pressure Sensor. Happened to me in a 1.2 MK2 - had to limp it home - bloody thing would hardly move!! Well known fault on clios apparently?

Its Probably not the fault at all though!!!

@ mike - i was gonna say that being a reno tech at least you should be able to fix a clio with a dodgy running fault... but then again on my evidence!

I expect Ile take it in and it will be NO Fault Found, I will have to wait 2 weeks for it to get looked at and get fobbed off with a load of crap!

Then when I get it back all sorted , it will f**k up again, the doors will have been dented, me stereo will have been played with and all me cds mixed up!

And to top it off when I take it back I will get the look of "Oh sh*t Not You Again!"...with a whisper of fooken prick he is with that 172...real pain in the arse!

Im moaning about me already!....will let you all know what it is tommorow, took it out tonight JESUS , 1.2 owner you will leave me for dust and it drank fuel like I drink lager, put a tenner worth in yesterday its on empty now and havnt done many miles.

Had a look at it today, clip showed up 2 faults 1.motorised throttle body 2.Accelerator Pedal potentiometer.

Got parts on order for it, so hopefully will be all top notch soon

pedal potentiometer and throttle body thats rare-not! what did the pedal fault say?-incoherence between tracks 1 and 2. What did the throttle body fault say?-value outside max/min limits.

my car is playing up and they reckon its the fly by wire accelator thing

Mine wont go over 4000 rpm.Theyve got the car and ive got a KA 1.3,why do renault hand out such crap.....If they gave me a megane 225 turbo sport it might tempt me to buy one...lol

Ah Ha, mines got a faulty throttle body and accel pedal,just we are so busy at work i cant get it done, and I aint doing overtime as we are not allowed to work on our own car at my place!!!!!

TOTALLY SUX, GOT FIT AN ALARM SYSTEM 2 MORO AT THE SIDE OF THE ROAD!!!

Worked me lunch and fitted the new bits at last, WOW the car totally different to drive seems so much more responsive, idles lovely.

I was so suprised at the difference that a new throttle body and accel pedal has made.

Im happy now

Yes all warranty, The trhottle body was about 170.00 and the pedal was about 65...would have cost me a fortune but the cars just over a year old.
