hi everyone, as some of you may know, i bought a clio phase 1 172 sport with an unknown engine failure.
brought the car home yesterday got the engine out and the failure was a common fault. the alternator belt had gone up to the timing belt and messed all that up, so took the head off aswel and found nearly all the valves are bent. but i am really pleased as there is NO damage to the pistons!
I live less than a mile away from Ap Developments so i popped over there to get a head and a few other bits. so all in all iv'e had a mint standard silver 172 phase 1 with 70k on the clock for less that £1500 when all the new parts are bought.
