my freshly refurbed OZ F1's

got a new set of T1-R's fitted to them yesterday after the refurb, not had time to give the car a clean, its a bit dusty from sitting in the garage for a few months!

not my usual DSLR shots as my mate wasnt about for me to pinch his cam!

just fitted new front discs and pads, rear discs and pads, 2 new handbrake cables, rear dampers, waiting on a fresh set of sportlines and 172 cup front dampers coming then all i need is a set of bottom arms, track rods, track rod ends, arb bushes, top mounts so i can strip it all down, rebuild it, get the subframe and hubs powdercoated and geometry setup and thats me happy with it mechanically.

its needing a few bits and bobs bodywork wise for me to be happy with it so not sure if im just going to get it repaired or strip it to a shell, engine out etc and have it fully resprayed in the spring.

(stuff on the tyre isnt paint btw its the stuff they use to seal the tyre, it all came running out when i hammered it out a junction lol!!)

i think we need to get a PH1 meet arranged theres a few of us up this way, me, you, john, gaz, dunno if dave still has his?

done the wheels myself with the help of a mate, just got the old tyres off them, prepped them, painted them and then had new tyres fitted, they came out spot on too, ive never done anything like it before either! my mate is pretty clued up though (aldo from here) they were fairly kerbed too, we got rid of it all though so they look brand new now!

We do mate a ph1 pilgrimage lol. They look an excellent job for a home effort likes really impressed.

yeah deffo, im insuring in in 2 weeks on its own policy so i can use it whenever i want, cant wait to get back in a quick car, it felt brilliant the other day when i had it a run!

we went overkill and used 4 just so they had a decent coat on them, had a bit of each can left, but used a new can for each wheel to get a nice even coat. could have got away with 3 really. was the big tins of halfords bright silver or something it was called, didnt even do the centre caps they are a perfect match!

cheers Daniel, its nearly where i want it, going into the bodyshop soon for a front end respray and get a few wee bubbles on the back arch sorted, then ill be happy with it exterior wise, ive already got the interior the way i want it, just need to source a drivers mat thats in good condition as renault dont sell them anymore! if anyone has one in perfect condition ill happily buy them a brand new set of the new style RS mats.
