I love these but the running costs scare me. How long do tires last at the front and waht MPG can you really achieve? 21-21MPG?
I'd like the rec car wheels with the grey car.:rasp:
Me too but when the car was written off the specialist also wanted the wheels. Took me 6 months to get a new car and the ride is much better on the 17's than the 18's...
Front tyres totally dependant on brands etc etc, they will do 15,000 if you are gentle, or 8,000 if you are a little spirited
You need good tyres to get the power down, I've just put a set of Michelin PS3's on the front..
Front brakes are excellent, but the pre 2004 cars came with 305mm Brembo brakes which are prone to warping, (the red ones had these), the grey one has 330mm Brembos.
The colour of the grey one is really weird, looks blue in some lights and grey in others.. It's a funny metallic. I had 4 red alfas before this one (plus this one was offered at a price I couldn't refuse.
MPG, well cruising at 70 on the motorway you can get 30MPG, around town it's shockingly bad... haha... like about 15MPG.
The engines are pretty bullet proof if you do your cambelt changes. Suspension is made out of chocolate so you need to change something every 15,000 miles or so. Normally the top and bottom wishbones, and the ARB's or drop links.
Next on the list of to dos is coilovers and eibach ARB's...
