ANY OPINIONS MUCH APPRECIATED. CHEERS

right first off, wont sound great as the boxes are badly set-out, 6x9s and subs dont mix in the same airspace very well, let alone in the same enclosure, power cap on top looks like an after thought, as does the screen, would have been better set into a false wall on in the boot, and most of all, barring the amps, id question the choice of equipment

other than that, it will fit in perfectly in the pages of fast car/max power/revs etc

lol u dont pull any punches do u bam

but it is a fair statement!

and he did ask for any opinions.

imo i take a little of bambams statement and say that if uve done that on ur own its a very good work effort

Hehe, no replies from him for a few hours.. aww bambam, the poor kids probably gone to slit his wrists ;)

Nice

cheers for that, ok the cap & screen were after thought admittedly but it actually sounds great, alot better than many other systems iv been put up against at local cruises. but whats wrong with alpine gear?? surely their a top quality brand no??

I would imagine if i was building the system, the back of the sub enclosures slopes, so on top that woudl ceate a seperate enclosure for the 6x9s, no?

..and what IS wrong wiht Alpien stuff, i am plannign on kitting my car out in Alpine stuff

Is that the Alpine M500 mono u got there mate. ive got one of them powering my Rocky 12". Heard u can power 2 12s from those bad boys...might consider a revision install...

alpine speakers are very por value for money, yes, the top end of their range sounds decent, but the other speakers in the range are quite simply shite

yes their head units are quality, their amps, again, depending on where in the range they stand, could be either excellent or crap, with alpine you get what you pay for

lunner, by the way the boxes are designed, the aeroport would stop any chance of sloping the enclosure, plus the fact they look like off the shelf boxes turned on their sides then a cut-out made for the 6x9s, may also give a little clue to how they are designed

my final system before the clio was stolen and written off was

Alpine 7893
Diamond M651
Genesis Profile 2
Boston Acoutics 8.5 LF Pro
Audison LRx1.400

and will guarantee, there isnt a better sounding system in this club for the money i paid

out of interest, how much did you set-up cost?

looks a bit of a clutter imo - rid of the 6x9s!

if u want to keep them get rid of the subs! its none or one!

also those subs dont need ports!

cheers 4 all the input guys. the whole system is valued at around £4k but that includes a £1k alpine headunit, panasonic in dash dvd & 3 screens. yeah the bottom amp is a class d mrdm500, very powerfull! the whole install was built from scratch by me and a mate. iv never claimed to be jamie shaw of carisma but i think its good for a 1st attemp no??

alpine subs when compared to others are not great, compared to other makes they are pretty poor tbh, and there speakers unless u go for there refernce set which i think is like 3 grand for a set then they aint that good, alot better speakers for the money....

thank you, someone that agrees

their F#1 Status range is excellent, but aside from that, its poor value for money, and poor quality

Yeah you are right bambam the Bass from my type R componants is better not talked about but you said there isnt a better sounding sytem for the money Mine is still in my car thankfully and it sounds very good all through the range thanks for the sub making up for the poor bass from the speakers.

And you are also right about being in sight - My last system all got fingered so now its all as inconpicuous as possible you couldnt tell there was anything in there unless you heard me coming, cant lose it all again to some lower than low scum

Alpine CDA7969r

Alpine T757

Alpine F407

2 sets Alpine SPR135 front set has MB Quart Tweeters

Boston Acoustics Competetor C1200

dave - mine is sitting in my bedroom at the minute with the exception of the alpine head unit and genesis amkp, both of which have been sold on to users of this forum, the car had been returned to standard with a view to sell when itwas stolen, with the exception of an insuction kit and lowered suspension

the set up i had, was not loud (118db) but was geared up for quality, i hate systems that are all bass, but no quality, as an installer, i actually have to bite my tongue when people tell me what they want, on here its different, im not taking your money away so can feel free to say what i like and call it advice

of the kit youve installed, the only components id consider buying are the Alpine T757 and the 7969, and thats all, as there are better on the market for similar money

well everything was a bargain thats why i was comparing it to yours for the money. It sounds good but if there were bargains on other items then thats what id get

i do agree with comments bout the alpine gear not bein the all out loudest but its certainly great sound quality. iv heard other systems at the shows & i have to say that my set up sounds miles better, altho there is better ou there of course.
