My ipod has stopped working.

Its a 2007 ipod classic 160GB.

Ive been out to a car meet today and it worked perfectly on the way there,
but when I started the car to go home the head unit would not recognise it.

It kept saying N/A Device?
I've got home and plugged it into the computer and that won't recognise it either?
It keeps saying usb not recognised the device has malfunctioned?
WTF!!

Can anyone help me?

Damaged cable? Got another one you can try.

Hold the circle button and menu together and it will restart itself, then try plugging it in,

When i plug mine in the car it sometimes doesnt recognise it, but unplug and connect back it works, so might worth a try

Thats one possability, I did a search and a thread mentioned the batteries can get fried?

Computer recognised it and so did the car.
Nice one for that bud, it's never done that before...wierd!
