my mrk3 lowered 60mm

I bought the -60mm springs and my friend fitted them yesterday! the car looks lower "obviously" but i thought it would be lower

Can someone give me a site I can link some photos! see what you all think!

hopefully thats worked! thats it lowered -60mm

looks about right, altho itll setlled too so will go a wee bit lower!

hmmm.....mines getting lowered 35mm i thought thatd be enuff, cos i usually have a few ppl in my car but lookin at that :S, i was told bein lowered 60mm would leave the wheels sitting just nice in the arches

Im seriously disapointed! I thought the same rousey! i was hoping the tops of the wheels would be covered! tut!

OR you will have to buy biggers wheels tp fill the arches!

hey mate, is that pic with the lowered springs on it?????? Has it been driven? If not, i guarantee it should drop lower than that as my dynamique has been lowered 40mm on apex and mine looks lower than that!!! what model is yours? i notice it hasnt got any front fogs! should be a lot lower than that if its 60mm!!! cheers, Rob

its only the 1.2 8v, is there a hight difference between the 1.2 16v and the 1.2 8v? it was lowered on saturday! i still cant believe that it isnt lower to be honest!

what ive failed to mention is that its got the original shocks on it! is that going to make a hell of a lot of difference?

Im getting shocks next month! can anyone tell me any sites to look?

it aint looking 60mm lower to me!!! i dont know if the std shocks are different, but i use the std shocks on mine with my 40mm springs! sure u not been sold the wrong thing lol?? Rob

when they arrived from k-tec it said -60mm! your cars a 16v so im guessing its also heavier!

Hey guys

I fitted Liams suspension and can assure you it was the K-Tec -60mm kit

Problem is I believe K-Tec just use the same -60mm springs for all cars

Obviously the 60mm is an estimation and cars with the bigger engines will drop more

My estimate is the car has actually dropped about 40mm from standard, obviously another 10mm or so will go in the next week while it settles and the springs get used to the weight

As for the guy who reckons his is lowered 30mm and is lower - unless your car came 30mm lower than the clio 1.2 8v as standard then your nuts mate

My 106 is lowered 70mm all round and the amount of people that say to me "my car is lowered 30mm and sits lower than yours" - drives me nuts

so now you have had it lowered, how much has it effected the handling?

i havent really had it out and ragged it round bends much but it was fantastic at handling before! On the few bends ive been round it sticks well but i cant really thrash it cause my tyres are like racing slicks! lol! Im buying some eagle F1s for it and then i will tell you about the handing! rough estimate for you:-i usually go round my nearest roundabouts about 50mph!

my next project is to paint my bumpers!
