My new Clio

  UR 197, AB 182 FF
Since 1st Feb, I've been the proud owner of a tempest 1.5DCI 86bhp "new style" clio. I plan to do a few minor upgrades over the coming months. Here she is (with her twin). Mine is the one ending FHE.

Whilst I put my flame-retardant suit on, let me say that the clio wasnt my first choice of car - in fact I had not even decided to get a new car, but it came along at the right price at the right time. There is tons of room inside and feels really solid. Also it has great acceleration even in 5th. So far, I'm happy but time will tell.. euro-ncap 5star + car of the year.. cant complain (yet)

I had a 1.2 Extreme as a courtesy car the other week and was quite impressed. It is bigger, but is still chuckable.

Everyone says that, but remember, everyone also said that in 1998 when the shape changed so radically, and again in 2001 when it changed!
Its called evolution my friend!

Yep had a look at them the other week in the show room, definately evolved inside. Plenty of space and for me anyway it felt like a much more comforatable driving position, at the moment I have the seat right back in my Mk2 Ph3.

Good luck with the car I have feeling it is going to be another super hatch when it gets in to full roll, the Dynamique S model doesnt look to bad actually too !!

For your first little mod, may I suggest the SilverVisions, easy and cheap little mod to start with :)

Hi Chris! I think I will do that this weekend actually. As I'm totally new to the clio crowd, who do you recommend as a supplier?

I don't know how people find that nice! It looks like they forgot to colour code the wing mirrors, and add spots - Didn't the Mk2 Billabong have the same engine, but had colourcoded wing mirror and spots? Why are Renault being so cheap?!

Tyson.

I did notice the lack of spots actually when I parked up next to the twin, so that's gonna be on the list. The model i've got is still very basic, but theres room for improvement. I'll get my plate on her at some point.
