My new V6, better than christmas

  E91 M Sport

I know it looks like many other mk1s, but this ones got a crucial difference.....

...its mine! :D

Hope to join some meets in the future and meet some of you, and thanks to all those who gave me useful advice before I parted with my reddies :)

This car is the nuts, the sound, the looks, the performance...what a package, I cant believe I havent had one sooner!

It sure is in good condition, I think I was lucky that the first one I saw was the one I wanted, even though the guy hadnt cleaned it for weeks!

The chap I bought my car from had a silver mk2 sitting next to it (which I had a bit of a drive in, v.nice) and they both look amazing. The mk1 is obviously the original and is going to be remembered for that, but the mk2 looks trim and neat, and the xenon lights finish off any car imo. So I suppose what Im trying to say is...Id have either! But funnily enough money comes into the equation ;)

Hey hey hey Mike.................for a second thereI thought that was my car:D

Lookin good by the way...................now the only thing to do is ENJOY eh:cool:

Yo Stu,

Dont tell me yours is silver too? ;);)

Im not sure how I knew it was the right one for me, but to be honest I didnt look at any others, because this one appeared to be a clean and honest car. The fact that the seller also had a mk2 made it more of a hobbies corner than trying to sell the thing! It all made sense on the day, and Im so glad Ive got one, theyre better than sliced bread.

Yeah Mike the same thing happened when my dad went to get mine...........he went to look at 3 and in the end the first one just felt and looked rite.................and like you the owner was a relly decent guy;)

Ive mentioned the service history but the car also had rubber mats over the carpet..............the actual mats and carpet had never been stood on.............but as long as you keep your eyes open you can get a good idea very quickly as to what the car and the seller are like............does your car still have warranty left?

Yeah it has 5 months left on the warranty, which I felt was invaluable after reading the horror stories of gearbox failures, etc. Then again you can always end up with a bad view of cars when reading forums due to the nature of people only posting when something goes wrong...

Since you mentioned the mats, mine has some sh1t Lloyds leasing mats in it, that obviously werent made for the car and are the wrong colour and shape. Does anyone know where you can get new clio mats for the mk1, are there any customised jobbies?

Cheers.

Mike................the mats in my car look\like they are Renault supply they are made of the same stuff as the actual carpet.....................so probably a Renault dealer..................Id put up pics but my dad hasnt got the digi camera up and running yet:(

5moths is a good while but at nearly 3years old it should have had any probs sorted by now;)

"hORROR STORIES" thats why its a good idea to get as much info as pos about any worranty work that has been done on the car...................as I mentioned one car we saw had been in for warranty work well over 20 times:eek:

Rite Im off out....................now where is that smile I had:D

PS there it is V6 SW_
