Get a bigger Seagate HDD, 150 GB is f#$% all these days. They are damn good, and cheap in OZ atleast.

THat CPU is way to expensive, the 6600 is fine.

The raptor is probs just for his Apps etc. The raptor is an Animal. I built a E6600 build today. With 2 Raptors in RAID, 2GB Patriot Mem and a 320MB 8800GTS it ripped.

They seemed to have made the raptors much more quiet now I was impressed.

I second the CPU Id spend half and go for the Quad Core. Its £130 something at Aria at the moment

i did say in the first post i would be using my barracada's from my old system,, so storage is covered..

as said above, the raptor is for apps and o/s

Great choice of case, I used an Antec Ninehundred for my build, lots of ventilation and blue leds look cool.

Also have that raptor drive for apps with a 500GB Samsung drive for storage. Raptor drive is still quite loud but not defening.

Think the processor might be a bit OTT, I have an E6600 with a Asus Silent Knight cooling fan in case I want to overclock, which apparently is easy to get to 3Ghz over the standard 2.4Ghz. Only thing with the Silent Knight is that its pretty big but fits fine the in ninehundred case.

RAM, maybe look at something cheaper unless you have the money to spend on it. I have 4GB OCZ SLi ready DDR2 running at 800MHz.

Motherboard is an XFX Nvidia 680i chipset running 2 x 320MB 8800 GTS's in SLI

Your system should be pretty good with that spec but could easily reduce the cost and get only a slight drop in performance.
