Just use an allan key on the screws, about 3 or 4 i think, on the vent panel then once they are all out give it a good tug. Pretty sure speakers are 10cm, but you can check once u got the cover off anyway.

Indeed Star-shaped (Torx i believe)

There are 2 srews at the bottom and 2 (if I remember correctly) on the side, so the door will have to be open.... I had some nice Pioneers in mine and some 6x9s in the parcel shelf, was much much better :)

On the Mk1's, if you take the door cars off, there are holes for 13cm speakers.

If you put in new speakers in the place of the old one's, then you can only go 10cm.

Ahhh thanks for the info guys! I know its a MK1 now too LOL! I have been looking at some on www.caraudiodirect.com - G/F doesnt want to spend more than £30 on some 10cm speakers and i've seen some vibe ones with quite a good spec to them. Does anyone have any recommendations

sorry for all the q's :)

Yep, the advice given to me.

With audio, you get what you pay for.

Pay the extra and get some 'Infinity' speakers.
