n.w mechnics help needed

ok, so changing my clutch on my mrk1 172, got evry thing off even the all the bolts on the box and pulled it apart but. i just cant get it out and fit teh clutch. ive droped the frames and all sorts but just cvant free it.

so is anyone in the n/w cabable to do this for sum $$$?

where about in the north west mate?think the idea is they want the whole subframe dropped and the engine and gearbox split seperatly,its a lot of work but if you had a hoist the easiest way is just to lift the whole lot out take of the gearbox fire on a clutch and drop it back in

think that'd be your best bet mate,it might seem a lot for a clutch but for the hassle it takes to try and get the gearbox on and off it isn'y as bad as you might imagine.i've seen it done someone get the gearbox out without dropping the subframe but never worked out how!

mmm. its just taking all the rack off, coolent, rads, a/c etc...but if it needs to be dun...

what we do at my dealership is take the sub frame down on stands and swing it across out the way surrport the engine and take of g/box mount and lower the engine box assembly undo the bolts and swing the g/box out and down.
