Guys im guessing this is to do with airbags but what actually is this part?

Its the yaw and angle sensor. To determine if the car is rolling i'd imagine. £340inc vat from Renault

I belive the air bag module is the silver box. If it the the yaw and angle sensor what is this actually for?

it's for the esp system to work properly if it's the yaw sensor although I have no idea if that is what the yaw sensor looks like

That's to do with the esp system not airbag
