NCB, not my policy . . .

Well another bit of good news today. Dad phone me at work to tell me that Zurich have OK'd 4 years NCB even though I was main driver, but not policy holder for my old Clio!

Hadn't realised this could be done??

Brough the S3 and R8 insurance down even further!!

It is yay but I'm concerned that they have this down correctly. I don't want to buy insurance and then have it cancelled due to my old company not standing by the NCB!

yes, tread very carefully. If a company insures you based on 4 years NCB and then they find out at a later date that it is named driver experience or you were not the policy holder, they may ask for an extra premium or may even cancel the insurance.

You may however have been (very) lucky in this instance.

Can you not just request a copy of the NCB from the old company? That way you will now where you stand?

If you get it in writing from Zurich then you should be fine.
