nearly stalls when braking

why do my engine revs drop so low that the car shudders when i brake to a stop with my foot on the clutch?

check idle stepper motor and the speedo cable.

is your idle speed ok in general?do your brakes feel ok?is there any unusual hissing sounds from the drivers footwell area?

check-speedo cable sensor(instrument panel end),idle stepper moter operation,has the stepper moter got the additional signal amplifier on it-a small black unit plugged in between the stepper moter and its connector,brake servo for air leaks and a general look at the breather pipes on the back of the manifold.

cheers, i know my idle control motor is knacked, only problem is i cant change it as ive rounded one of the bolts holding it in place!

do you reckon i could say to kwikfit when i go in 2moro, "while im here can you fit this please"???
