Need a windscreen de-mister, any advise? (track car)

  Trafic 140dci
As you may/may not know, I have RS Tunings ex demo clio which when Paul built he completely removed the interior heater, that i can live without. Although it leaves the problem what to do when the windscreen mists up. So im looking at getting something for this. What has anyone else done that have removed the heater?

I have been opening the window to clear the screen, but on a track day you can only open the window a little bit, and i dont want to be needing to open window in the rain.

I only want something small just for clearing the screen. Don't want to be putting the standard setup back in.

Also I hope this is the right section of the forum as it's inside the car? Lol.

Thanks

Lewis

Get one or two little 12v heater fans and mount them in each corner of the dash, some of the 'pretty' trackcar owners dont like them but it does the job Lewis. I've seen them fitted to Integra Britcars etc so they work, function over fashion...

I'd go for a heated windscreen. Bit more money, but better than some hairdryers mounted to the dashboard and lighter aswell.

I've got one of these in my garage, never used as the 12v socket hasn't worked in my car (should work this weekend) So will have a fiddle and mount it drivers side and see how i get on :)

Have you tried anti mist Lewis? We didn't run the heated screen for a the first few days and with anti mist on we didn't have a problem!
Honestly... I've never heard of it  Have you got a link?

So would i, but they are circa £250 plus fitting, and my gearbox had just failed so that's took my money right now :(

Not forgetting the rig up option - thin film of washing up liquid :)

I'll be doing this until i suss out if the gussets keep on cracking screens before spunking on a heated one.

This is what I was telling you about Lewis and it works perfectly, just a bit of wax that you buff on and off every couple of months or so, and the bar lasts forever, it's about £10 for 3 bars!

Sorry if i sound dumb, but how do i do that?

Just smear on a film of washing up liquid with a paper towel. Joking aside, would work of sorts but you'd be better off with either the wax or the spray on stuff, it costs next to nothing. Have a quick search for anti-fog on google dude :)

Didn't even see your post, and to be honest, i'd totally forgot we spoke about it

This is what i have, but it's never been used as the 12v socket has never worked, and also is pointed at the driver at the moment so that won't work lol
