Need some help.. Please

Right im 16 and 17 in November so im think about buying a little 1.2 soon so then I can do little mods to it in the summer and stuff like that. I wont have to pay insurance for it to be sat on private land, in a garage will I? Also can someone help me with buying the car as in look at the ads (that I will copy in the link at the bottom) so I dont buy a piece of sh*t which will cost me loads to repair.

Either:

Buy a car now that needs work, use the time you have before your 17 to bring it up to a good unmodified standard

or

Wait until you need the car and buy one then, prices will have dropped slightly by then

You dont want to be modding it before you have insured it because you dont know how those mods might effect insurance.

Don't do it ..

A car sat for 6 months will do it no good what so ever !

As girlsname says, buy one when you can drive it.

Best plan is to start saving for your insurance and not modding it haha !

Edit:

PS: If I were you, I'd be looking to get a 80/100 dCi. Much more fun to drive than a gutless petrol (torque yo!) and better economy too !

I dont know much about cars tbh so I dont think i'd do the first option but when I mean mods, I mean in like colour code, and interior and RS grill thats all.

I've already started to save! ahahah I have a part time job and after my exams until I start 6th form im going to get a full time job just so I can get more money in, BUT my parents said if i buy the car myself they will pay for the first year of insurance.

Them mods are a weekends worth of work, and its only that long because you have to let the paint dry!

Just wait until your ready to insure it, then buy one.

DCi 80/100 is a good shout, if not then go for the 1.4 16V imo.
